"Renfro where?"...."Carl who?".... Are often words we here when we mention this trip.
Come along with us as we travel to the "Bluegrass State" of Kentucky for a weekend of fun
and adventure. Our trip will begin with a drive to Renfro Valley, Kentucky where along the way
we will see all the fall colors and beauty that Mother Nature has to offer this time of year.
When we arrive we will take a tour of the "Kentucky Country Music Hall of Fame". Here you will
explore the history of country music stars that hail from the state of Kentucky.
After dinner we will attend the "Tribute to the Legends" show in the "Old Barn". This show is
90 plus minutes of quality entertainers taking you back to a time that we all will remember.
After the show, we will go to our rooms for a well deserved rest.
On Saturday after breakfast, we will travel through the "Daniel Boone National Forrest" on
our way to Stearns, Kentucky. We will board the "Big South fork and Southern Railroad" for
an afternoon of fun and adventure. We will travel into the heart of Kentucky's woodland areas
and small unmapped towns on our way to Blue Herring, Kentucky. We will have lunch at the
depot in Blue Herring while enjoying our singing conductors and their Bluegrass music.
When we return to Renfro Valley tonight, We will enjoy the Carl Hurley Show. Carl is an
awesome after dinner speaker who has entertained thousands of people with his clean and
loving sense of humor. Anybody who knows of Carl will tell you that you just can't get enough
of him. People who see him for the first time are sure to become fans. After the show, we will
go to the Renfro Valley Jamboree for our last show of the night.
On Sunday after breakfast, we will attend the Renfro Valley "Gatherin'". This is a
nondenominational Sunday service that is broadcast on the air over hundreds of radio
stations around the USA. After the Gatherin', we will check out of our hotel and head for
home. We will make a stop at Ryans in Lexington for a dinner break.
